The IPA Typing Assistant is a simple utility designed to help input characters from the International Phonetic Alphabet into your computer programs. The IPA Typing Assistant uses an easy to use on-screen display to assist you in the selection of your desired character.
The IPA Typing Assistant is free, but you are required to register with PAL Software Designs LLC after 15 days. Registration is free, but you must do so in order to continue using the product.
Simply type and allow the IPA Typing Assistant to help you find your desired IPA character. Just click on the character that you want to enter or hold down SHIFT to scroll through the displayed characters. For example, press SHIFT + e to enter the "ə" character.
